Greetings from the Membership Committee ...

This is an exciting time for occupational therapy! Health care Reform is a prominent item on our upcoming agenda. Practice is moving in many novel and innovative directions. OT practitioners in Pennsylvania are thriving in new businesses, reclaiming areas of practice that had previously gone to the wayside. In addition POTA continues to build partnerships and strategic alliances with consumer and professional groups, such as:

  • Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Association
  • National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)
  • Pennsylvania Initiative on Assistive Technology

POTA is the only organization in Pennsylvania whose sole purpose is to advocate for, represent, promote, market, and educate our legislators, referral sources and consumers about occupational therapy. Members of our Board of Directors take pride in POTA's growing ability to target and achieve important objectives and serve members as a vital resource. Successfully achieving POTA's goals costs money. We need the membership of every licensed OT professional and current student (future OT professional) in the state. You can influence how your profession is represented with your membership, your voice and vote! Exercise that right and your professional obligation!
